Support Services

Student Support Services are available to students enrolled in the nursing program from both the School of Nursing and Camden County College.

These services include, but are not limited to the following services.

Academic Support Program

The Academic Support Program (ASP) was initiated to provide students who were unsuccessful in a course with the academic skills needed to succeed in the program. The Course Coordinators offer the students test taking strategies, course content tutoring, remediation, and advisement.

English as a Second Language (ESL) Program

The faculty developed and implemented program that assists students for whom English is a second language to be successful in the nursing program. Download brochure [788K PDF].

Financial Aid

Financial Aid is available through the Department of Financial Aid at Camden County College. Please contact Camden County College at 856.227.7200, ext.4985 or visit their website.

Student Advisement
Testing Taking Strategies/Study Skills

Testing Taking Strategies/Study Skills support is provided throughout the program using group and individual sessions conducted by the faculty of the School of Nursing and the School's educational specialist. Online support is also available through the Assessment Technologies Institute's (ATI) Content Mastery Series.

Tutoring

Tutoring for the nursing courses is available from the faculty at the School of Nursing. Camden County College provides tutoring services for non-nursing courses. Please contact the appropriate campus listed below.

Educational Accommodations

Students requesting accommodations for physical, psychiatric or learning disabilities are required to contact the Camden County College Disability Services Department at 856.227.7200 ext 4430.

Employee Assistance Program

Services of the Employee Assistance Program Carebridge Corporation are available to nursing students through Virtua Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.

Health Insurance

All students must maintain basic health insurance coverage.

Parking

Free parking is available at all Virtua Hospital sites to enrolled students with proper ID.
